Monarch Airlines enters three new sectors in Croatia, Portugal and Sweden.
- Monarch Airlines has started nine new routes from four of its UK bases over the past seven days – three each to Croatia, Portugal and Sweden. The average sector length of the nine routes is 1,471 kilometres, with the shortest airport pair being the 1,336-kilometre service from London Gatwick (LGW) to Zagreb (ZAG), while the longest is the 1,931-kilometre route from Manchester (MAN) to Dubrovnik (DBV). The average weekly frequency of the nine routes is just below 2.7, with six of the new sectors being operated three times weekly. Only three of the airport pairs will not see any direct competition for the LCC, with the most competitive route being the Manchester to Stockholm Arlanda (ARN) route, offering 15 weekly competing frequencies from the two incumbents SAS (13) and Norwegian (two).
